March E-Newsletter 2006

Our newsletter is coming out later than expected. March Madness sale has now passed, and we are currently planning events starting in June. We hope that even if you did not buy from the online auction that you enjoyed watching it. Several events are now being planned at this time. There have also been a few changes as described below.

Online Futurity/Herd Sire Mania

Originally planned for June, we do not have any idea about the interest in this event. If this event is sounds interesting to you, please let us know by email - llamas@llamasaleslist.com. Currently we still plan to hold the online futurity but not until August 2006. More information will be posted. This event requires video footage for judging. Instead of having Herd Sire Mania, which would feature `110 males, we've decided to allow all 1st place male winners automatically into LOKTOBERFEST (see below), a total of 4 males. No males outside of the futurity winners will be accepted.

Some of the llamas are still available and can be purchased (assuming the seller has not yet sold them) by clicking on the "Buy It Now" button on the auction site. The asking prices are listed if the llama is still available.

Upcoming Private Sales

We are pleased to announce that G&M Rolling Hills is having an Online Production Sale August 6-13, 2006 . Hopefully by next month's newsletter, we will be able to announce more details about another pending production sale coming soon.

Due to demand, there WILL now be a fall sale that we are calling LOKTOBERFEST, a sale of both silky and suri llamas. Now here's part of the criteria: All 5 males in Loktoberfest will be the winners from the online futurity (Winners of juv. suri, yearling suri, juv. silky, yearling silky, and one additional male that the selection committee will pick from the 2nd place winners. In addition, all female llamas that place first or second in the online futurity can automatically be consigned to Loktoberfest or March Madness '07. The only males in Loktoberfest will be the futurity winners, so be sure to get your llamas entered in the futurity. This sale will occur October 14-22, 2006, and the consignment deadline will be late August.

Web Site Statistics

Visitor statistics for the month of February have been posted on the web site (WebTrends Report) and can be downloaded. We had over 162,000 hits in February.

You can place your ad in our newletter and reach all of our subscribers. The cost of the ads are reasonable. Full size ads will cost $75 (1X), $60 (2-6X), $50 (7-12X). Smaller size ads cost less - please inquire. In addition, we will start archiving the old newsletters on the LSL website, so your ads will be visible for quite some time. Ad materials will generally be due the first week of each month for that month's newsletter, but we'll be fairly flexible with this. We can design ads for you, and even create Flash (animated advertisements) - please inquire about the costs. SPECIAL: Run a $75 ad in the next newsletter (April) and receive one FREE private treaty listing (llama must be approved first).

Private Sales

Do you have a group of quality llamas you would like to sell? If so, you should consider having your own private sale at LlamaSalesList.Com. In order to qualify for this, you must have at least a minimum of 5 llamas in the sale (there is no maximum number). There are no additional fees on the llamas not selling. We will quote you a flat rate and our fees will be either that flat rate or 10% commission, whichever is higher. Our fees include promotion of the sale on our website and newsletters. Llamas must be of acceptable quality. Some dates are still available - inquire for more information.
