Winsome Llamas is located in Mountain Center, California high above Palm Springs in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Our breeding herd consists of two phenomenal herdsires namely PPF Moon Doggie and White Russian. Both of these males began their breeding careers with us and their offspring can now be found in breeding programs throughout North America such as in New York, West Virginia, Oregon and California. We are proud of both of these males and their success and contribution to the llama industry!"PPF Moon Doggie" is the full brother to the 1997 World Celebrity Reserve Champion, PPF Paco Red. Best of all, he is sired by DDL Dreamcatcher who is a nationally known sire of champions, out of our grand dam, RAR Madre Chica, producer of high sellers and champions herself. Moon Doggie not only adds size to his offspring, but lovely stretch and fiber."White Russian" is a male to behold - from his incredible ropey black and white fiber, fringed banana ears, fiber coverage, large bone and super straight conformation. His bloodlines are as impressive as he being a son of the infamous White Heat out of MGF Whispering Wind - he loves to strut his stuff! White Russian's offspring have exceeded our expectations and are taking the show world by storm.In order to enhance our males and breeding program, we have carefully selected our dams for their temperament, conformation, personality and quality of fleece. Over and above our herdsires, we believe our dams are the treasures of life, the creators of champions and our work force.

In crossing generation after generation of award winning llamas and through careful research, we have successfully established one of the finest breeding programs on the west coast with emphasis on temperament, substantial bodies, conformation and silky/suri fiber - with color as a bonus!

Our goal - breed champion to champion . . . winning bloodlines to winning bloodlines. The proof is in our production, which consistently excel in the showring in local, regional and national levels. We are very motivated in the promotion of these wonderful llamas, we call our "friends", not only in the show world, but to the public, 4-H, youth and families, as well.

HERD SIRES White Russian (White Heat x MGF Whispering Wind)
White Russian has exceeding our expectations in his production. He has incredible ropey suri black and white fiber to his toes and wonderful fringed ears that almost touch, over and above his large bone, super straight conformation and sweet disposition. He is consistently producing silky/suri and suri fiber with every female. Not only are his bloodlines as impressive as he is, he loves to strut his stuff and has the most calm and quiet disposition that any breeder could ever hope for in a male! White Russian's cria are taking the show world by storm their first year out and turning heads. As only juveniles, three White Russian offspring attended the 2004 Grand Nationals. All three juveniles placed Top Ten in their classes - 2nd place Top Ten Medium Wool female, 2nd place Top Ten Heavy Wool Female and 9th place Top Ten Heavy Wool Male. A great track record for his first production and we couldn't be more pleased. Available for outside breedings in 2005.
PPF Moon Doggie (DDL Dreamcatcher x RAR Madre Chica)
This outrageous full Chilean llama has incredibly sumptuous silky/suri fiber, stretch, balance and style - he is huge standing over 46 inches with flawless conformation! Not only is he a front pasture attraction, he is probably one of the sweetest llamas we have known. He produces tall, athletic llamas with wonderful stretch and silky fiber all with wonderful dispositions. His offspring can be found in show circuits from the West Coast to the East Coast all placing high with many taking home champion honors.
