E-Newsletter February 2006

Dear Fellow Llama Enthusiasts:

It's a busy time at LlamaSalesList.Com, and this newsletter will be much shorter than normal and just focus primarily on March Madness.  We are about to kick off our sale season with the 2nd March Madness Sale.  This year our expectations have been exceeded, as we have the best group of llamas we've ever offered, and many new consignors on board.  Many of these farms you all know well, know their reputation, and they have given some of their best for this sale.  We have a good balance of silky and suri llamas. Some of the llamas are Top Ten placing from Celebrity, LFA, Nationals or champions from other shows around the country. The five males we have chosen were selected from a very competitive group.  I could not believe how good some of the males were that we had to turn down, unfortunately.  Each one of the males in this sale would make an excellent herdsire, and we have developed a good reputation for bringing the finest males right here for all to see.  You can view the lots and register to bid online at www.llamasaleslist.com/auctionsite/ .

Quick Stats:

Number of Consignors: 24
Number of Lots: 43
Number of Suri Males: 3
Number of Silky Males: 2
Number of Mini Llamas: 2
Dates: March 1-5, starts ending March 5 at 11PM Eastern (see details below)
Pre-auction average hits/day at LlamaSalesList.Com: >10,000 hits/day

Lot Information: This is constantly updated by consignors. New photos, breeding status, incentives, such as offering terms or transportation, could be offered at any time, so it is good to click on lots often to find the new information. Videos are available for some lots. The videos range in size from about 2MB-10MB, and they may take a few minutes to load. Some of the videos are in Quicktime format, requiring the program, Quicktime, which is a FREE software download at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html .

March Madness Sale Format: The auction opens March 1st at 9AM.  The auction will begin closing at 11PM on March 5 in the following way (all times are Eastern time ):

Lots 1-14 will close at 11PM
Lots 15-28 will close at 11:15PM
Lots 29-43 will close at 11:30PM

This will allow more time to bid on another llama if you do not get your first choice. For those sellers that elect to use it, there will be a BUY IT NOW option for buyers. If that option is taken by a bidder when available, the sale is over for that lot immediately. Sellers may also choose to reveal/hide reserve information. More auction-related information like this will become available on the auction website in the coming days.  Because we were able to post most of the lots immediately this year, we did not create a downloadable catalog as we have in the past.

Bidding Incentive: We'll pay $200/llama for transportation for each llama that sells at or over $7000.
Payment methods: Check, PayPal, or credit cards will be accepted (Note: there is a 3% service charge if you pay using PayPal or credit card).

Upcoming Events

More events may be added during 2006, but here are the current events planned:

March Madness 2006
- Online Llama Auction 3/1/06 - 3/5/06
LSL Online Futurity - June 3, 2006, entries displayed, June 4, winners announced
Herd Sire Mania - Online Sire Auction June 8 - July 2 (open to LSL Futurity 1st/2nd place male winners only)
Fall/Winter Sale '06- TBA

There may be a couple of farms having online sales consisting of just their llamas. Contact us for date availability if you are also interested in having us host a sale for you. Also note that we are not planning to run the Sizzlin' Summer Sale in 2006. It seems that there are a lot of sales during that time, and we would rather offer our sale at a different time. If something changes, we will announce it months in advance. Instead, we will likely have a Winter Sale in 2006.

Happy bidding,

Jim
