Reserve Amount and Hide/View Options

This page will allow the seller to lower the reserve amount while choosing whether they want to make information about the reserve available to the buyers.  Clicking on this option from the seller menu will bring up the following page:

First, select the lot you want to set reserve options for.  You may choose from one of the following options which will affect how bidders see information about the reserve:

  1. Hide Reserve Information From Buyers:  this option will display a sentence on the lot detail page stating that the reserve information has been hidden by the seller.  This will then prevent bidders from knowing whether or not the current bid is above or below the reserve price.
  2. Show Reserve Met/Not Met:  this option will display text that will show bidders whether or not the reserve has been met.  The bidders will not know the actual reserve price though.
  3. Show Reserve Met/Not Met and reveal the amount: this option will display both the text "Reserve Met" or "Reserve Not Met" as well as displaying the amount.

If the current bid price is below the reserve, the seller may lower the reserve amount to be $100 above the current bid.  Reserve may not be increased and reserve can not go lower than $1000.

When finished making changes, click the "Update this Lot" button.
