E-Newsletter April/May 2006

Llama Enthusiasts,

This newsletter is a combination newsletter for April and May although April has now passed. Both Brian and I attended the Celebrity Sale and had a great time talking to many of you. We had the chance to meet some of the ones we have worked with in the past but never actually met. Hopefully next time we will get to meet more of you. It was refreshing to see euthusiasm at the Celebrity Sale.

Enthusiasm is contagious! We at LlamaSalesList.Com really believe this. And while it is unlikely that the llama market will return to the days of the 80's, we also believe that the llama industry for show quality llamas is still quite good. Growth of our industry requires bringing in new people to the industry through effective marketing and education to the target audience. We are going to do our part to bring in new llama owners through our marketing efforts. Coming later this year, LlamaBreeder.Com will go online and launch our campaign to reach people wanting to raise livestock but are unsure what kind. Our site will market llamas in a very positive way, and interested parties will be able to request more information. Those that get listed on our site under their state will get the referrals that we get. For example, if you live in North Carolina and you are listed in our directory, you will get a list of new potential customers to contact from us! We will draw the people in, and you will get the referrals. Currently we only have Virginia complete, but we are still recruiting in Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and North Carolina, and the cost is $60/year to be included. We will also have a Herd Sire directory starting very soon.

Upcoming Private Sales

We are pleased to bring a couple of online production sales this summer. Coming up very shortly is a production sale from a farm that needs no introduction - Pleasure Valley Llamas. Everyone knows what a great job they have with their herd, as well as being an asset to the llama industry by serving and volunteering in many ways. They will be offering some of their best in this sale, so bid in confidence on llamas from a farm with a great trustworthy reputation! We will start posting some of the llamas this month. One of the greatest things about this sale will be No Reserves, so all llamas that receive an minimum opening bid will sell! And later in August, we will have the G&M Rolling Hills sale - more information will be available later on.

Pleasure Valley Llamas Sale - 6/18/06 - 6/25/06
G&M Rolling Hills Sale - 8/6/06 - 8/13/06

FALL sale announced - Help us rename it and WIN!

We are planning a sale that will occur October 14-22, 2006, and the consignment deadline will be late August. We thought we were pretty clever with the name we came up with, "LOKTOBERFEST", until it was pointed out by a couple people that it implied a suri-only llama sale, which this sale is not. So after some thought and no good names for this sale, we have decided to ask for help in naming the fall sale. We have made this into a contest. Think up a name and email it to llamas@llamasaleslist.com. If the name you send us is the one we decide to use, you will receive a free LIFETIME rotating banner, a FREE listing under your state in our Breeder's directory currently being put together, and 2 FREE private treaty ads .
