Bronko’s sire is Chile Bronsky 1033 a Chilean import via Australia. Chile Bronsky was the main herdsire for Boyd and Pat Bell from Integrity Llamas in Canada for many years and he produced many fine offspring for them. He is nearly 15 years old now and still dashing. He is a studly stud, and consistently produces fine fibered animals with a very mellow personality. The females respond to his charisma when breeding and he gets the job done efficiently. We haven’t enough good things to say about the personality of his offspring. There is definitely a genetic influence to the easy going nature of his progeny, which is evident in Chilean Bronko. Chile Bronsky’s best known offspring is Chile Ulysses, the suri fibered herdsire for Rain Dance Ranch in Oregon. Chile Bronsky is an outcross male who is not related to many llamas in the U.S.A. Bronko’s dam is Chilena Bonita who came to our farm at the side of her dam, directly from Chile (via a few stops). Our shearer has remarked that her hair is like whipped cream. Her hair coverage is excellent on her legs and head, with terrific fine regrowth each year. She takes good care of her cria and always has a good milk supply with no birthing problems. Chilena Bonita is a total outcross! Chilean Bronko was shown at the Spokane Interstate Fair this
year and he came in first in yearling males! There was some
stiff competition, so we were pleased. |
